Stir fried mixed vegetables - Oseng oseng tumis sayuran

This Indonesian recipe can be made of various kinds of vegetable. This time it is made of green beans with carrots for better colour. Easy and fast recipe from Jawa. Thanks to the short time of frying the vegetable keeps its crunchiness. For spicy food lovers an option with red chilies is possible too.
Process
Fry shallots and garlic in oil on a high heat about 5 minutes till they shrink a bit. They should be submarged in the oil. Drain.
Crush garlic, shallots and galangal in a mortar or in a blender coarsely.
Heat up oil, 5 tbs approximately, fry garlic, shallots and ginger first. In about a minute add salt, sugar, MSG, chicken powder and stir. Add green beans and carrots. Stir constantly about 5 minutes.
Drain, garnish with sliced red peppers and serve with rice and other Indonesian dishes.

- 250g green beans cut on oblique 1,5 cm pieces
- 1 carrot cut on strings
- 5 red shallots
- 4 cloves garlic
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 slices galangal (Siamese ginger)
- pinch MSG (optional)
- 1/2 tsp chicken broth powder
- oil
